Introduction

Glass is an innovative platform designed to combat counterfeit products while establishing direct communication channels between brands and their consumers. By leveraging smart packaging technology with cryptographically secure QR codes, Glass provides a dual-action system for both security and customer engagement.

Every product unit receives a unique digital fingerprint that serves as both an authentication mechanism and a gateway for personalized brand experiences. This solution addresses critical post-sale challenges faced by consumer goods brands, including revenue loss from counterfeits and the inability to connect directly with end-users.

Problem

Consumer goods brands face two significant post-sale challenges that directly impact their business operations and customer relationships:

  • Revenue Loss from Counterfeits: Sophisticated counterfeit products cause substantial financial losses and damage brand reputation. Traditional anti-counterfeit measures often lack real-time verification capabilities.
  • Communication Gap: Brands lack direct channels to communicate with their end-users after purchase. This disconnect prevents them from cultivating loyalty, gathering valuable feedback, and providing post-purchase support.

These challenges inhibit brands from building meaningful relationships with their customers and protecting their market share from fraudulent products.

Solution

Glass introduces smart packaging by generating a unique, cryptographically secure QR code for every single product unit. This "digital fingerprint" creates a comprehensive system for security and engagement:

  • Product Authentication: When a customer scans the QR code for the first time, it triggers a real-time check against our secure database, instantly verifying the product's authenticity and providing peace of mind.
  • Anti-Counterfeit Alert: If the same QR code is scanned a second time, the system immediately displays a high-priority warning, alerting the user that the code has already been scanned and the product is likely counterfeit.
  • Direct Engagement Portal: Beyond security, each scan opens a personalized communication channel where brands can engage consumers with targeted marketing, product support, feedback collection, and interactive content.

This approach effectively closes the brand-to-consumer gap while providing robust anti-counterfeit protection.

The onboarding process for new brands is designed to be comprehensive yet intuitive. We guide organizations through a multi-step setup that captures all essential information about their business, products, and operations.

The onboarding flow collects details about the organization, brand information, target markets, licenses, and manufacturing facilities. This structured approach ensures that brands can quickly set up their account while providing all necessary information for proper product authentication and tracking.

Product Management

The Glass dashboard provides brands with a comprehensive overview of their organizational usage and product performance. From a single interface, teams can monitor scan activities, track authentication requests, and manage their entire product catalog.

The product management system allows brands to create and organize their products with detailed information including product names, descriptions, categories, and images. Brands can easily browse their product catalog and access detailed views for each product to monitor its performance and manage associated batches.

Batches & Units

Each product in Glass is organized into production batches, representing specific manufacturing runs with their own batch numbers, production dates, and quantities. This hierarchical structure enables precise tracking and management of inventory across different production cycles.

Within each batch are individual product units, where each unit receives its own unique, cryptographically secure QR code. This granular approach ensures that every single product item can be independently authenticated and tracked throughout its lifecycle. Brands can view detailed information about specific batches and drill down to see individual units, including their QR codes, scan history, and authentication status.

Chat Setup

Beyond authentication, Glass provides an innovative interactive chat system that transforms each product scan into an engagement opportunity. Brands can create personalized welcome messages and set up pre-configured questions that help customers understand and interact with their products better.

The chat setup interface allows brands to build a conversational experience using multiple content types: plain text responses, embedded images for visual guidance, embedded YouTube videos for product demonstrations, or external links for additional resources. This flexibility enables brands to provide comprehensive product support, gather feedback, and create memorable post-purchase experiences that build customer loyalty.

QR Code & Chat

When consumers scan a product's QR code, they are guided through an intuitive mobile experience that combines authentication with engagement. The end-user interface is designed to be simple and fast, ensuring product verification happens seamlessly while providing access to helpful product information.


Upon scanning, users see a loading state while the system verifies the QR code's authenticity. They're then prompted to authenticate their phone number via OTP, which helps brands build verified customer profiles while ensuring secure access to product information.

The authentication step requires users to verify their phone number through a one-time password (OTP) sent via SMS. This security measure ensures that each scan is tied to a verified user, creating a trusted connection between the brand and the consumer.

Once authenticated, users are greeted with the brand's custom welcome message and can explore preset questions about the product. Each question reveals rich multimedia responses including text, images, and videos that help customers better understand and use their purchase.

The brand details screen provides comprehensive information about the company and includes a feedback section where customers can rate their experience and provide valuable insights. This two-way communication helps brands improve their products and services.

When a QR code is scanned for a second time, the system immediately flags it as suspicious. The user is prompted to authenticate to confirm whether this is a legitimate rescan or a potential counterfeit product, adding an extra layer of security.

If the system confirms a fake QR code, it displays a clear warning to protect the consumer. The interface also collects information about where the product was purchased, helping brands identify and shut down counterfeit distribution channels.

Analytics & Users

Glass provides detailed analytics that help brands understand how consumers interact with their products. The analytics dashboard offers switchable views for different products, allowing teams to track scan patterns, authentication success rates, and engagement metrics.

The platform also includes comprehensive user management capabilities, enabling organizations to manage admin and member access to the Glass dashboard. This ensures proper role-based access control while allowing teams to collaborate effectively on product authentication and customer engagement initiatives.
